The official 8-week Mindfulness training (MBSR –Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction)
Mindfulness is about being fully aware of living, right now, in this moment, with everything you are experiencing in mind, body and emotion.
Many of us live our lives on automatic pilot. We go through the motions of our daily routines, we worry about the future or think about the past. We may get caught up in patterns of stress, worry, or negative thoughts. We may feel tired and out of balance. Or we feel we don’t enjoy life as much as we could because our mind is always somewhere else.
Mindfulness is paying attention here and now with kindness and curiosity. Being in the present moment can help us cope better with our lives and feel happier. Research has shown that mindfulness can have long term benefits for our health and happiness.
Mindfulness could be for you when you want to:
-cope better with challenges and obstacles in life
-handle stress and negative thoughts in a more effective way
-develop more appreciation and kindness for yourself and others
-enjoy the moment
-focus more
-learn to respect your boundaries
-sleep better
-be in touch with what is important to you
-experience more calm, peace and balance
Practical information
The training consists of eight 2,5-hour sessions. Near the end of the training (usually around the sixth of seventh session) there is a day of silence: a longer time of practicing in silence, guided by the teacher.
Sessions include :
- guided awareness and concentration exercises
- sitting and walking meditations
- guided movement meditations / yoga
- reflection on exercises
- explanation of themes and theory
Mindfulness is a skill you acquire by practicing. You will receive a weekly workbook and audio tracks to practice at home.
We work in small groups.
Location
Eerste Ringdijkstraat. A 5 minute walk from Amsterdam Amstel station.
Cost
€ 395, - Workbook and audio-tracks of meditations are included.
Reduced rate for students: € 295,-
Dates Mindfulness Training in English

If you are interested but you can't join a planned course - send an email with your preferred days/times. A starting day and date will be chosen based on people's preferences. I'll keep you updated.
